We would like to introduce our new bundle of joy who has filled our hearts with love.....James Alexander was born on February 10, 2011 at 11:09 8lbs. 13oz. 21in
Our family has expanded by two feet and we couldn't be any happier than we are right now. Just a month ago I wrote about looking back in the backseat and seeing Sam there and it takes my breath away. There are no words to explain the feeling of having two lil boys who are my life, in the backseat now! I looked back as we left the hospital bringing James home and it hit me hard. I LOVE my life and my boys.
It happened again, I cried. I looked back into the back seat as I was driving, looked at Sam sitting in his seat and welled up and the tears started to fall. I do this all the time. I just can not believe I have a child, my life, sitting in my backseat. All of the years I would drive around and wish I had a car seat in my car, one that would have a baby in it, and my wish came true. It still catches me by surprise and takes my breath away.
How lucky am I to be his mommy?!? I have no words to describe the complete and utter love that fills my heart when I look at this lil' man. ohhhh here come the tears again :) lol
Happy New Year!! I cannot for the life of me believe another year has passed, time is flying wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to fast. Our lil' man is getting bigger by the day and he is so funny and incredibly cute. He makes me happy. This morning we are sitting on the couch and he's writing in his pad and talking out loud, "I love you mommy, love Sam" my heart melted right there!! How in the world did we get so lucky to have him be our son? How? This year was great, started off spending time with Brynn on New Year's Eve last year and then Feb came and I got to meet a very good friend in person when she came and stayed with us for a few days. March was brought 2 beautiful blessings, our twin nephews Alex and Ben. April we had a long weekend trip with Brynn. May we got to go see Brynn leave for her prom, which was sooooo special to us! We also went to Florida for 2 weeks and had a blast. Sam loved it. The summer was full of swimming at the pool and bbq's. August we had a week at the beach with Brynn and her whole family!! Such a special fun time. My fav is a picture of the whole family, including us on the beach, just LOVE it!! September brought sadness for our hearts, we lost Linda. She was Kenny's dad's girlfriend of 8 yrs and we love her and will miss her very much. It also brought new life, Brynn's sister had her first baby. Baby Michael is so cute, can't wait to meet him! October was the lil man's big day, he turned 3!!! Brynn came for the party weekend. It was really awesome to have her here for his birthday. November we were off to Georgia and Florida. Our stop in Georgia let me meet another amazing friend in person. LOVE the Internet for this!:) It also gave us our 1st trip to the ER. Sam ran into a coffee table with his head and needed stiches. Ended up being steri strips and he was a Rock Star!!! Not a tear from him at the hospital. It's all healed and you can hardly see it now. Florida was beautiful and the perfect weather. My parents came with and loved it. November also introduced us to some new friends that we are hoping will be a part of our lives forever. December, COLD!! It went by very fast. Christmas was wonderful and special because Sam understood Santa. He is even getting up each morning and running outside to the living room to see if Santa left him more presents. We're working on him getting that Santa doesn't come everyday, LOL!! We had a blizzard the day after Christmas which cancelled our plans to see Brynn :( another day it must be. This stinking snow also caused us to be without power and heat for 15 hrs. brrrrrrrrr it was cooooollllldddddd! New Years Eve was home, no place I'd rather be :) Here's hoping 2011 is filled with love, laughter, blessings, family, friends and hope. Love to all! xoxo
Quotes I loved and borrowed from the Birth Mom Buds FB page
"I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated."
" The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way"
An amazing blog, by an amazing birthmom and friend!

The special meanings of the songs we picked!
"I knew I loved you before I met you" :
This happens to be our wedding song, but also has a new meaning since we have been blessed with Sam. We loved him wayyyy before we ever met him.
Sometimes we didn't understand the broken road, from infertility to the wait to adopt, until we held Sam in our arms. It led us to him and now we are on that road again. We cant wait to see how God blesses this broken road!
This song just makes us think of some of the wishes we have for the birth mom in our life, will be in our lives and all that have touched our lives. We are better people for knowing and loving you. Thank you! ♥ M,K,&S
I cry everytime I hear this, thinking of Sam's birthmom.
Kenny's fav movie. We watched it on our second date and he knew every line. :)
"All I want for Christmas":
While I know she is talking about a man in the song, I can't help but tear up and think about wanting a baby by Christmas. I did before Sam and now I did it this year too. And ya know...they play the song all the time during Christmas!
Talk about tears! This song is dedicated to Sam's birth mom and our future child/childrens birthmom, and to all birth moms who are brave and amazing to us. We love you! ♥
